I get such satisfaction in being able to complete a full project start to finish in one (or two) sittings. I WILL make a thobe one day (life goal, inshallah) but for now, i’ll be over here finishing my tiny tatreez projects while watching one true crime documentary at a time.
I hand embroider the tiny tatreez pieces, and frame them for you so they are ready to display in your homes, offices, etc.
This piece is designed by me, embroidered on 14ct Aida cloth, and features the following:
- the traditional tatreez border named ‘old man’s teeth’
- my design take on the beloved and cherished Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, Palestine
- ’Al-Quds’ in arabic
The frame is a rustic walnut wood square frame that can be displayed on a tabletop or on a wall. The frame itself is approx 4.5” x 4.5”, and the tiny tatreez piece fits within the 2” x 2” matting.
You can choose between a hand painted black mat, or the cream colored mat.
